Avengers Assemble! - Un-Boxing Photos

I will be posting Un-Boxing Photos of a lot of items I've been receiving this past month. Apologies for the delay, as I've been pretty busy the past month. Enjoy!

First up, MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE PHASE ONE - AVENGERS ASSEMBLED Blu-Ray Package (Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. disc of extras). I haven't opened up the Case Files Folder or the Confidential Envelope, but I heard they include neat items like the Captain America vintage trading cards and Thor's Donald Blake fake ID. Will UPDATE whenever I do.

New York Knicks vs Boston Celtics, 4-2

I didn't want to write anything about the New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics 1st Round NBA Playoffs Series until it was over, just because i didn't want to jinx our home team.  Now that it's over, wow... how many years has it been since we've advanced to the 2nd round?  Was the last time back in 2000 or 2001 I think?  Man, does it feels good.

What a tough, well-fought series between both teams.  The Celtics, coming out after that tragic horrific Boston bombing just 2 weeks ago, fought hard.  JR Smith... man, you just can't do that in the playoffs, throwing elbows and committing stupid fouls.  I think we would've ended the series 4-0 if he didn't get suspended, giving us some rest before our next series against Indiana or Atlanta.  Then there was the whole dressing in black for a funeral ordeal... c'mon... this is playoff basketball, it's all about business on the court.  Why do something like that off the court and incite the other team or attract the media in a negative way.  I wasn't mad that Boston won Game 5.  That should teach them to be serious about this opportunity, because in 10-15+ years now, we finally have a shot to win a championship.

The first 3 games we came out strong and that's the way we need to play the rest of the way.  Great defense, great scoring.  Then the knucklehead things had to happen and we went on a detour but hopefully now we're back on track.  Excellent start to Game 6, and although it looked like it was going to be a blowout (I was so hoping it would be), man, what a total collapse for us!  We had a 24-point lead, maybe more, and then Boston goes on a 20-0 something run... CRAZY!  I was on the edge of my seat, breath held for that 5-minute stretch!  Just sloppy basketball for us, and great comeback by the Celtics no doubt.  If we're getting out the playoff jitters, then I hope this was the moment because this cannot, and I repeat, CANNOT happen again... I'm glad we stayed strong and pulled through, 88-80 final score.  (should've been 88-64)

I still don't want to go extensively into each game.  I was worried that I was a jinx before because I had never been to a live Knicks game where we had won in the last 10 or so years.  The first game I've attended where we won happened to be a few months ago against the Memphis Grizzlies.  Then we lost to the Heat a week later.  Nevertheless, I don't want to jinx the Knicks any further and will post brief comments about each series after they are over.  Let's go Knicks!

Wrestlemania Experience - COMING SOON!

Sorry for the long wait... I've been busy the past 2-3 weeks following Wrestlemania recuperating from the event, both physically and financially.  I have tons of pictures and tons of video I would like to share (I don't know if I can post all the video as there is A LOT...) but I will definitely be posting up pictures very soon, including a review of Wrestlemania Axxess and the big event itself.  Stay tuned!

Olympus Has Fallen - Review

Saw a screening of Olympus Has Fallen tonight.  Thanks to my weak-ass camera phone, my picture of our surprise guest turned out blurry.... Anyways, GERARD BUTLER was there to introduce the film, and he sat 2 rows behind me to watch it through as well!

NOTE: If you have screening tickets and you're waiting on line and someone comes out to say there are no spots available, there's a chance you won't get in...STAY IN LINE!  Wait it out, because you never know what may happen.  In this case, I was about #20 in line when the 1st warning announcement was made, and I moved up to #3 after they let more people in and made the 2nd warning announcement.  Then the line had become so short due to people leaving that they just let everyone else in.  HA!  It was cold as hell waiting in line but in the end, it was all worth it.  Lesson learned, people... it ain't over til the fat lady sings.  To some of the beautiful ladies behind me, sorry, but you could've seen Gerard Butler... =/

The movie was enjoyable, very action-packed, somewhat predictable, generic plot, but still fun.  It touches on the whole United States-North Korea conflict going on and had an Air Force One feel to it.  I'm going to start writing fuller reviews soon, but I'll leave this one short for now.  There are several funny moments throughout, but the funniest for me was the "hashtag" moment.  That's all I will spoil for now, but I would recommend this if you're looking to sit back, relax and enjoy an action thriller that has the feel of a summer blockbuster flick.

New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat, Sunday, March 3, 2013

A poor attempt at panoramic photo... Welcome to Madison Square Garden!

New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat, Sunday, March 3, 2013.  We should've had this one... We had a 16 point lead after the 1st half.  Then LeBron James came out strong in the 3rd and next thing you know, we're tied.  We didn't hustle as much as we did in the 1st half defensively, and we were getting sloppy.

All in all, as a fan of basketball, this was an entertaining game.  It was a great experience watching arguably the best player in the league right now in LeBron James in an NBA basketball game, and it was icing on the cake to see 3 LeBron alley-oops and the LeBron James vintage-ball-to-the-side-dunk (which I took a nice mid-air photo of, see below), even though it sealed the win for them.  As a fan of the Knicks, very disappointed.  We should be 3-0 against the Heat.

I'm officially going to Wrestlemania XXIX (29) @MetLife Stadium on Sunday April 7, 2013!!!

I missed the opportunity to go to Wrestlemania XX (20) in 2004 due to being in California and taking a shift at the Cal Dining Center & Bar.  My frickin' co-worker/supervisor went while I had to handle his shift, WTF!!!  He was from Cali, I'm a New Yorker, that was supposed to be my ticket!!!  Missed watching my boy, Mick Foley and the reunion of the Rock n' Sock Connection, and most of all, an epic Triple Threat Match for the WWF Championship with my boy, Chris Benoit (RIP) vs HHH and Shawn Michaels, making HHH tap out, followed by a celebration with Eddie Guerrero (RIP), the World Champion at the time.  That would've been my chance to experience an epic Undertaker "Wrestlemania" entrance but looks like this will be the year that I get to check that off my bucket list.  Wrestlemania XXIX, here I come!!!
